Its getting cold outside, scarf time!

So those of you who live in North Carolina may have noticed the dropping temperatures lately (I know I sure have!) and the smarter of you may have decided to break out your winter scarf collection!  Now I love a good scarf as much as the next girl but if there is one thing I hate seeing more than summer dresses after labor day it is an improperly worn scarf.  And so, in an effort to help those of you out there who are thinking "Why I don't know how to tie a scarf!" I present to you the French Guide to tying scarves!  Now you might think I'm crazy for  giving all you Southerners a French guide, but remember aside from being the baguette capital of the world the French were the first to popularize the scarf from a fashion standpoint, and to elevate it from an accessory to a necessity. Therefore their neckwear knowledge is indispensable!

 French Outfit Guide:
1. Wear skinny jeans with some cute flats.
2. Wear an earth toned shirt with some sort of cute, possibly ruffled design.
3. Alternatively you can wear a navy blue and white horizontally striped boat shirt.
4. Wear a cream colored scarf tied in the French style :)
5. Add a large bag, simple jewelry, and over sized sunglasses

Dress like a French girl, and make even Bridget Bardott proud :)  Preppy Living Everyone!

Center the scarf in front of your neck. Wrap around, crossing ends behind neck and pull forward.

Tie a single knot centered underneath chin.

Finish by tying a double knot and let ends hang loosely.
